Following an online backlash connected to her sister’s recent Dangote truck accident, reality TV star and actress Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, also known online as Phyna, has publicly apologized to the controversial social critic VeryDarkMan (VDM).
VDM claimed that when her sister Ruth was allegedly hit by a negligent Dangote truck driver in Auchi, a town in Edo State, Phyna contacted him for help to get justice for her sister.
In order to seek justice for her sister, he described how he assisted her, setting up meetings with legal professionals and Dangote’s representatives over the matter.
However, when Phyna apparently abruptly stopped cooperating with VDM, the scenario reportedly took an unexpected turn.
VDM clarified that when Phyna first consented to meet with him and Dangote’s team in Lagos, a follow-up meeting was set up with Phyna, himself, and a lawyer.
Phyna abruptly canceled, claiming she would be represented by her own attorney, which surprised him. The change was brought about by Dangote’s team acknowledging that they were “intimidated” by him, according to VDM.
VDM sent Phyna a warning even though he felt undercut, voicing concerns about possible foul play. In addition, he warned Dangote that “all Dangote-related operations in Edo will be halted if Ruth dies.”
Phyna has now posted an earnest apology on social media in reaction to VDM’s video. She asked for his continuing assistance in managing her sister’s case, admitting that she could have irritated him.
“Anything that comes up that looks like a distraction, I am going to clear it. Please, bro, you should have called me as you see I am lagging. If I offend you, I am really sorry from the bottom of my heart. I need you in this case”, she said in the video.
