The Nasarawa State Police Command said its operatives attached to Masaka Division have arrested a 25-year-old suspect, Buhari Mustapha, in line with the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Shettima Jauro Mohammed, for sustained raids on all criminal hideouts across the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ramhan Nansel, in a statement said Mustapha from Katsina was arrested during an operation at a known black spot (Me and You) in the Masaka area of Karu Local Government Area.
An English-made Beretta pistol with breech number APL-C42201378075, along with twelve rounds of 9mm live ammunition, were recovered from the 25-year-old suspect as exhibits.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Shettima Jauro Mohammed ordered a full investigation into the case, with the aim of apprehending other criminal elements and further curbing crime within the area and the state at large.
