Police clarify Abuja stampede probe, deny targeting church’s almsgiving

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command on Wednesday dismissed allegations by the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja Diocese, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama, that the police were attempting to demonise the church’s almsgiving or humanitarian efforts. Describing the claims as baseless and disappointing, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, clarified that the police did
