Police decry fraudulent use of name, office of I-G by rogue officers

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer, said this in a statement on Saturday while lamenting the persistent unprofessional conduct of some officers which, according to him, is undermining the standards and reputation of the Force. "Despite repeated warnings and disciplinary actions taken against those who have been exposed, some officers are still engaging in these shameful acts that erode public trust." He noted that such officers also invoked the name of the Inspector General of Police to stop the victims of their actions from reporting to higher authorities of the Force.
