Police rescue abducted woman, detain four suspects in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has successfully freed a woman who was abducted from Minjibir town and transported to the Garki Forest area of neighboring Jigawa State.

The operation, confirmed by the command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa via his official Facebook page, involved a coordinated assault on the kidnappers’ hideout.

During the raid, police operatives and the kidnappers exchanged gunfire.

He said: “Some of the kidnappers were shot, and the others were all captured.”

Several of the suspects were wounded and the others apprehended.

The victim was recovered unharmed, and multiple weapons were seized from the suspects.
