Portable involved in tense encounter outside father’s home in Ogun

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, reportedly evaded an attempted knife attack near his father’s residence in Ogun State.

According to circulating reports and viral footage, the incident occurred when a man, dressed in military camouflage trousers and a Special Forces shirt, approached Portable’s vehicle while allegedly armed with a dagger. The singer and his associates quickly apprehended the suspect before any harm could be done.

Items reportedly recovered from the man included a sharp blade and a charm tied around his waist. During interrogation, the suspect denied any intention to harm the singer, claiming instead that he was a member of a task force.

In a video making rounds on social media about the attempted knife attack, the man was seen seated on the ground as Portable and a small crowd questioned him about his motives. The incident, which took place in Portable’s neighbourhood, has since sparked concern and conversations online about the singer's safety and the prevalence of impersonation among security personnel.
