Tems appreciates Davido's congratulations on Grammy win amidst fan reactions

Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has expressed gratitude to Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, aka Davido, for congratulating her on her Grammy Award win.

Davido, fondly called OBO, took to social media to praise Tems and American singer Chris Brown for their prestigious Grammy win, saying he was proud of them.

However, Davido's gesture sparked mixed reactions from fans. Some rival fans criticized OBO, claiming he was trying to associate with Tems, while others noted that Tems didn't immediately respond to Davido's tweet, implying she was bigger than him.

Tems, who won the 2025 Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance, thanked God, her mother, and team members for their support. Her song Love Me Jeje emerged victorious over other notable tracks, including Tomorrow by Yemi Alade and Higher by Burna Boy.

This achievement marks Tems' second Grammy win, and she has acknowledged veteran Nigerian artist Seyi Sodimu for inspiring her award-winning song.
