Manchester United are also monitoring his progress, and could still send in a bid before the end of the transfer window.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, and Borussia Dortmund have also been credited with an interest in the player.
Fulham are desparate to bolster their attacking options after coming close to securing a place in Europe last week.
