In the early hours of Friday, suspected bandits stormed the residence of one Danladi Mai Faci in Unguwar Malam Inusa, Kankara town, and abducted two people.
The attack reportedly occurred shortly after the Subh (dawn) prayer, plunging the community into fear.
A Twitter user identified as Bakatsine broke the news, expressing concern over the persistent insecurity in the region.
“It’s very worrying that bandits can attack towns and villages anytime they want,” he tweeted.
At the time of this report, the Katsina State Police Command had yet to confirm the incident. Efforts to reach the command for official comments were unsuccessful.
