Six people lost their lives, and 15 others sustained injuries in a late-night fatal road crash along the Jajere-Potiskum road in Yobe State.
The accident occurred around 8 p.m. when traders were traveling to Jajere in Fune Local Government Area after closing from the Potiskum Wednesday market.
Some of the passengers who were severely injured were taken to the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital in Damaturu for treatment, while those with minor injuries are receiving care at the Potiskum Specialist Hospital.
It was gathered that personnel of the Yobe State Emergency Ambulance Bus Service (YEMABUS) were on hand around 1 a.m. to provide emergency services and transport the victims to Damaturu.
