Arsenal reportedly set to open talks with Rodrygo

Arsenal Football Club are reportedly set to sign Real Madrid's forward player, Rodrygo as they look to strengthen their team ahead of next season.

There are reports from Spain that Real Madrid and Xabi Alonso are open to selling Rodrygo this summer. The forward player has failed to break into the team since the exit of Carlo Ancelotti.

The 24-year-old made his first appearance for Madrid in 53 days in their opening Club World Cup game (a 1-1 draw against Al Hilal on June 18) but has played less than 30 minutes for Alonso in their three matches led to Ancelotti and Rodrygo agreeing the winger would not be called up for the Italian’s first squad as Brazil manager, for the games against Ecuador and Paraguay last month.
