Two farmers were killed and several others kidnapped when suspected bandits attacked the outskirts of Yankara community in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Thursday afternoon.
The attackers reportedly attacked the farmlands while people were busy working and opened fire, killing two on the spot and taking away others into the bush.
The incident was shared in a post on X by a security analyst, Bakatsine on Friday.
“Yesterday afternoon, bandits invaded the outskirts area of Yankara community, Faskari LGA, Katsina State, and attacked farmers. They killed two farmers and abducted several other people working in their farms during the attack,” Bakatsine wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, the police are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
