Former Chelsea star, Joe Cole has hailed Joao Pedro as a ‘monster’ in football after the Brazilian led the Blues to beat Wrexham in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Pedro found the net against Wrexham, contributing to Chelsea’s progression to the quarter-finals, and has now netted 11 goals in his last 12 appearances for Liam Rosenior’s side.
“He’s a monster, no doubt about it,” Cole said during his analysis on TNT Sports.
“He plays the number 9 role not like an Erling Haaland, he will drop in and drift in because he’s got quality.”
Pedro will look to continue his impressive form as Chelsea prepares to face Paris Saint-Germain in the upcoming Champions League clash in mid-week.
