Como manager, Cesc Fabregas has confirmed that he wanted to sign Barcelona player Eric García for his club in the last transfer window.
According to Fabregas, the 24-year-old is a versatile player and very good player.
He spoke at his pre-match press conference ahead of Como’s Serie A clash with Cagliari on Saturday afternoon.
Fabregas, however, admitted that the Spainsh player will remain at Barcelona.
“We wanted and still want Eric García at Como, he’s versatile and very good player… but he will stay at Barça,” Fabregas was quoted by Fabrizio Romano as saying.
Garcia, who almost left Barcelona in the January transfer window, has gone on to become an important squad member at Barcelona and their manager Hansi Flick seems a big fan.
Garcia’s versatility has been really useful to Flick and it seems likely he will continue at the club and could even be offered a new contract at the end of the season.
