Veteran football manager, Louis van Gaal is now cured of prostate cancer. The 73-year-old coach shared during a Dutch TV interview that he is no longer troubled by the disease. I had surgery two years ago. It was a tough period, but today I feel relieved, he said. Van Gaal was diagnosed in 2020 but chose to keep his illness private for several years, even throughout the World Cup in Qatar, where he led the Netherlands. Despite undergoing 25 radiotherapy sessions and major surgery, he continued his managerial duties with remarkable discretion, sometimes visiting the hospital at night to avoid distracting his team. I always tried to give my best for Dutch football, even while battling the illness, he added. An iconic figure in European football, Van Gaal has managed top clubs like Ajax, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United. He also made history with the Dutch national team, guiding them to third place at the 2014 World Cup. Now retired, Van Gaal can finally enjoy his life and his health. The post
