Students protest renaming of Poly Ibadan after ex-Gov Olunloyo

Students from The Polytechnic in Ibadan demonstrated in large numbers this morning against Governor Seyi Makinde's decision to rename the school in honor of the late Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, one of his predecessors. Recall that during the funeral of late Olunloyo last week Friday, Governor Makinde renamed the institution after Olunloyo as a way of immortalising him. The students however disagree with this decision and took to the streets to protest.
