
Suspected assailants have invaded the home of a farmer, Malam Isiya Abdullahi, in a community on the outskirts of Doka Maijima’a village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. They abducted him and killed his 25-year-old son, Suleman Isiya.
The attackers were said to have stormed the area at around 2 am, armed with cutlasses and other dangerous weapons, and operated with chilling precision.
A source stated that Suleman, in an attempt to protect his father from the assailants, was overpowered and stabbed multiple times. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was confirmed dead by medical personnel.
Following the incident, Nigerian troops, in collaboration with other security agencies, have launched a manhunt to locate the abducted farmer and apprehend the kidnappers.
According to the source, “The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility.”
Residents of Doka Maijima’a village are now living in fear and frustration over the incessant security threats in the area.
The Kaduna State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
