Real Madrid forward, Rodrygo prefers to join Arsenal if he leave the Los Blancos in the near future.
As per @HandofArsenal on X, intermediaries with direct mandate from Saudi Arabia clubs have been told in no uncertain terms that Rodrygo’s preference is to move to the Premier League, with Arsenal his “absolute priority” in case a deal can be struck with Real Madrid.
Rodrygo is expected to decide if he wants to continue with Real Madrid beyond this summer after the FIFA Club World Cup tournament.
The Brazilian international has attracted interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
However, Real Madrid will only sell Rodrygo if the player specifically asks to leave Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso had already insisted that the club need Rodrygo amid reports linking him with a move to the Premier League.
Rodrygo is reportedly demanding around €10m net per year to join Arsenal.
But the Gunners is not prepared to go that far with the 24-year-old’s wages.
