Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has said the world would be a better place if everyone spread a little kindness to their neighbours all the time.

He called on the people of the state to prioritize safety, vigilance, and love as they celebrate the festive season.

Kefas’s message was delivered via a statement issued to journalists on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Emmanuel Bello.

Congratulating the Christian faithful, he emphasized the state government’s commitment to ensuring effective surveillance and security.

He reassured citizens that measures have been put in place to safeguard lives and property, urging them to report suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.

Reflecting on the significance of the festive season, Kefas encouraged residents to embrace the lessons of sacrificial giving, compassion, and love.

“The world is going through a lot, and we all need to show each other compassion and love, even as God loves us.

“The world would be a better place if we all try a little kindness to our neighbors all the time,” the governor stated.

Governor Kefas also highlighted the value of diversity, urging Tarabans to continue fostering tolerance and understanding irrespective of faith or background.

“God, in His infinite wisdom, created us to be born into different families of different beliefs. If He wanted the world to be of one faith, He would have made it so,” he noted.

Kefas who also praised the people of Taraba for their unity and tolerance, said their pluralism has strengthened community bonds and promoted mutual understanding.
