Gunmen abduct Anambra lawmaker

Armed men have abducted the lawmaker representing Onitsha North Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Justice Azuka.

A close associate of the lawmaker told journalists on Wednesday that he was abducted along the Ugwunapampa Road in Onitsha on Tuesday night.

The spokesman for the state police command, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident.

He said efforts to rescue the lawmaker are ongoing.
